Defective Child Restraint Attorneys
Defective child restraints continue to threaten the safety and security of those we hold dear. Standardized crash testing practices have helped limit the number of catastrophic events that result from automobile accidents, but our children are still at risk, and it is essential that we as parents and consumers take the appropriate steps to insure their safety and security.
Recent industry studies report that nearly 80% of child restraints produced are without defect, but tragically, there are still ineffective products being purchased by families throughout the United States who are unaware of the catastrophes that lay ahead. Just one of these heartbreaking events is one too many, but unfortunately, child restraints that are improperly installed, or worse yet, defectively designed or manufactured have caused serious injury and/or death to thousands of children each year.
The trauma brought about by a child restraint injury extends far beyond immediate physical damage. Medical bills, emotional trauma and personal pain and suffering all can incur an exacting toll. Let a qualified, experienced and compassionate defective child restraint attorney help guide you through the process of determining what legal action is to be taken, as you or your loved ones may be entitled to monetary compensation from manufacturers who failed to create a safe, effective and reliable product.
Child Restraint Injury
Watching children suffer undue hardship is one of the more painful experiences we can endure, both as parents and as people. Injuries resulting from defective child restraints can forever alter the lives of both the victim and their loved ones. The severity of the injuries range from minor (cuts and abrasions) to life-threatening (head trauma and spinal cord injury). Fatalities are uncommon, but sadly, they too fall within the scope of the damage caused by child restraints that are defective in design.
The costs associated with a child's rehabilitation can be astronomical, placing you and your family's financial future in serious jeopardy. Let experienced and understanding child restraint injury attorney help you navigate through these trying and uncertain times, as those who designed and distributed the product you trusted to protect your children should be held accountable for their negligence.
Car Seat Defect
Consumers have learned to trust the design of the products they acquire, and in some cases, that trust can lead to disaster. Car seats are designed to protect children from injuries that may occur in a car accident. Unfortunately, if the car seat or booster seat is defective, some children involved in car accidents suffer additional injuries to the ones sustained in the actual accident.
It is important that you identify which car seats presently manufactured and distributed within the U.S. have been recalled or termed "defective" by consumer agencies before you purchase one, as they are not likely to actively promote the idea that the seats they produce have any history of improper construction.
If you or a loved one has been adversely affected by a defective car seat, now is the time to contact an experienced and understanding defective car seat attorney familiar the child safety laws and procedures. Your child has suffered enough. Now is the time to take legal action against those who care more about profit margins than product design and safety.
Booster Seat Defect
Families purchase booster seats as a means by which to safely secure their children while in transit, but there are some basic facts about booster seat construction that must be addressed before choosing a product that is right for you.
Booster seats are recommended by child safety experts and product manufacturers for children who are above 40 pounds, and are less than eight years old. Booster seats are not effective for children who are under 40 pounds because they offer no harness to restrain the torso, relying only on a pad which crosses the child's abdomen. Therefore, the child is at risk for being tossed from the seat or sustaining head and/or abdomen injuries due to the design of the seat.
We purchase products such as booster seats to protect and secure those most dear to us. We trust that those products are designed with one goal in mind: child safety. Manufacturers of booster seats are subject to fines and/or reparations for defective product design, and a compassionate and experienced booster seat defect attorney can help you receive the monetary compensation you and your child so richly deserve. Do not hesitate. Contact us today for more information.
